When court lady Irma (Sandra Hüller) takes up her duties, she falls head over heels in love with the sweeping, freedom-loving Empress Sisi (Susanne Wolff), who lives in a kind of aristocratic commune in Greece. Surrounded by women, far away from Emperor Franz Joseph. Together they travel wherever the whim takes them. And it could go on forever, if Sisi were not the empress.
