Goalie is standing in front of the prison, waiting in vain for his best friend Ueli, for whom he shut up and served a year. "A little thing, an interim low", as he says. From now on, everything is supposed to get better. He sets off for Schummertal, his home, a small town where everyone knows everyone, to make a fresh start, without drugs. Goalie is clean. Ueli, meanwhile, has slipped even deeper into drugs and cannot understand why Goalie suddenly wants to change his lifestyle and become a "Bünzli" in his eyes. The two are unable to pick up where they left off, although they have been connected since early childhood. Goalie gets a job and falls in love with Regula, a waiter's daughter, but she is already taken. With unwavering optimism he fights for her love.
