The weighty building contractor Walti Oberholzer (Mathias Gnädinger), the world-weary bank director Edi Hess (Jean-Pierre Cornu) and the highly respectable politician Andreas Fröhlich (Walter Andreas Müller) try with all their might to save their skins in a criminal investigation for money laundering. An ambitious prosecutor (Patrick Frey) is giving the men hell, but he still lacks the decisive evidence. And there is the young cab driver, Robi Weber (Martin Schenkel), who falls madly in love with the beautiful but headstrong daughter Helen (Mona Fueter) of the politician Fröhlich. Without suspecting anything bad, he slides deeper and deeper into these criminal machinations and becomes the most wanted man in town - after all, he is in possession of a black suitcase that decides the fate of everyone involved.
